Witney Business Students Trip to Westfields Shopping Centre!

On the 25th November 2015, the Level 2 and Level 3 Business students went to Westfield London shopping centre for the day. They were set a mystery shopping task to do and had a selection of questions to get answers for to help them with assignments.
Part of the assignment required students to assess and reflect on the standard of customer service in the shopping centre. This real life case study helped students to understand first hand what is important regarding customer service. This field trip also contributed to identifying and reflecting on employability skills and gave the students a better understanding of how they should behave in the work place.
This exciting trip enriched the course and firmly put the theoretical knowledge in a real life situation. Writing about a real experience greatly enhanced the quality of the assignment work regarding customer service, allowing students to aim for merits and distinctions in their work.
Not only did this trip help the students with their assignment and work placements, but it also was a fabulous day out. This is because the shopping centre was decorated for Christmas and students were able to do some Christmas shopping at the same time!
