On Wednesday 16th November some of
our students took part in the College Games at Blackbird Leys Pools and Leisure
Centre in Oxford. The other colleges that competed were Oxford City College,
Banbury and Bicester College and Henley College. The event was in partnership
with Oxfordshire Sport and Physical Activity. We took 63 students to take part
in the college games and took part in 7 different events;
- Men’s Football
- Women’s Football
- Mixed Touch Rugby
- Mixed Badminton
- Women’s Netball
- Table Tennis
- Boccia
We had students from both
Abingdon and Witney from Sport, Public Services, Business, Health & Social
Care, Performing Arts, Engineering, Computing and Pathways all take part.
Our men’s and women’s footballers won
every game in their tournaments. Our Rugby team beat Henley (only two teams in
the competition). Our netball team won one match and lost two.
