Witney Hospital Visits

As part of the Business students study programme they have to do enrichment sessions on a Wednesday. As part of their enrichment they thought it would be a good idea to go to the local hospital in Witney and spend time with the patients.

The students chat and play games with the patients such as dominos. This has proven such a popular activity so some of the patients who have now left the hospital are returning to continue to see the students.

One patient Lawrie said "He looked forward to the Wednesday sessions every week playing games and chatting.  He is going to continue coming to these sessions when he can, so it will give him something to look forward to."

The hospital is also very grateful the students time that Clinical Development Nurse Nicola Jarvis sent us a little message “I wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your students that come over to Witney Hospital on a Wednesday afternoon as part of their enrichment programme. I know that the patients that come along to the sessions really enjoy themselves and enjoy the company of the students. The students are always polite, friendly and professional and they should be very proud of how they conduct themselves while they are here.”

We are extremely proud of the students and hope that this can be a reoccurring session that we can put on.
